Following its decision to order two large landing platform decks (LPDs) from Italy in October 2010, the Algerian navy is now set to become the first overseas customer for the AW 159 wildcat.

Algeria has been talking to the french naval defence company DCNS as well as the german thyssen krupp marine systems for the acquisitions of two LPD's for several years. However, Algeria instead opted for the ship builder's fincantierry a subsidary of the giant Finmeccanica aerospace co. The first LPD will be construted in Italy while the second will be built in Algeria although details of the planned delivery dates are sketchy right now.
The two vessels will fulfill a littoral warefare and force projection role and will be fitted with a powerful weapon system that will include the ASTER 15/30 air defence and EMPAR radar, provinding them with an anti-submarine warfare capability well beyond a normal LPD type.

This all comes as a further blow to the french gouvernment as eal to supply the algerian navy with up to 50 helicopters so far has seen AW Yeovil plant build six AW 101s and 4 lynx with two of the latter being delivered recently. It is believed that 12 construction jigs has already been set up at Yeovil,
as preparations go ahead to build the advanced Lynx Wildcat, already ordered by the army air corps and the royal navy for Algeria.
Although a firm contract has yet to be signed, it is a the final negociation stage and subject to it being finalised, deliveries are expected to commence in 2013.
It is possible that an airborne early warning derivative of the AW101 could be next on the Algerian navy shopping list.

أعتقد أنها تجميع ليست صناعة

يوجد مصنع في ليبيا في جنوب طربلس لتجميع طائرات أغوستا في ليبيا

فقط للتوضيح المصدر هو أكبر نقابة موجودة في إيطاليا Uil تضم أكثر من 2.2 مليون عامل

المقال واضح يتحدث عن خطط مستقبلية وليس عن صفقات اي ان الأمر لم يتم

المقال واضح يتحدث عن خطط مستقبلية وليس عن صفقات اي ان الأمر لم يتم
ادعوا لنا بان يتم انشاء المصنع ان شاء الله

الشركة البولندية كانت فرصة رائعة
لو كان مستثمر عربى من الذين تفرغوا لشراء الأندية إستثمر فيها بدلا من شراء لاعبى كرة قدك لكانت خيرا للعرب جميعا

لو كان مستثمر عربى من الذين تفرغوا لشراء الأندية إستثمر فيها بدلا من شراء لاعبى كرة قدك لكانت خيرا للعرب جميعا

لا اعرف كثيرا عن الشركة البولندية

بالنسبة لبولندا ....اقول لك ان نقل التقنية من ايطاليا ليس صعبا بالنسبة الينا ............... واحزر لماذا

بالنسبة للأغوستا الامر منذ زمن تتداول الآخبار حول مصنع اغوستا لأكثر من مصدر واعتقد ان الأمر منطقي اكثر من 100هيلوكوبتر سيتم طلبها وقد تم طلب البعض منها لشرطة والدرك والحماية المدنية ...ننتظر على كل حال

بالنسبة لأوروكوبتر و التي هي من طلب اقامة مصنع لتركيب الهيلوكوبتر هنا في الجزائر من قبل
.............. على ما اعتقد انه سيحسم في زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي وطاقمه الحكومي

خلاصة الموظوع الأمور ستتضح في المستقبل القريب جدا....................لا يوجد شيئ رسمي بعد

The Super Lynx order follows on from a November 2007 deal for four Super Lynx Mk 130 and six AW101 Mk 610 Merlin helicopters. The aircraft were purchased for search and rescue – the AW101s feature 360 degree search radars and forward looking infrared/electro optical turrets under their noses.

Algerian crews were trained in Cornwall in the UK, with the first Lynx flying by February 2010 and the first Merlin commencing training flights in May. All the aircraft from this deal are believed to have been delivered and are fully operational. The fourth and final Super Lynx Mk 130 was delivered in January this year, after the first two were delivered in September 2010, followed by the third in February 2011.

Algeria has requested that its helicopter deals with AgustaWestland remain confidential and the Finmeccanica company does not comment on any Algerian acquisitions. However, it is believed that Algeria is acquiring at least 80 helicopters from AgustaWestland. These will be used by its armed forces, paramilitary forces and emergency forces and are being procured through the Algerian Ministry of Defence.

Algeria is procuring 30 AW109 Light Utility Helicopters and 42 AW101s for the paramilitary Gendarmerie Nationale, according to Arabian Aerospace. The magazine believes that 15 AW109s will be supplied to the Gendarmerie, ten to the Unite Aerienne de la Surete Nationale police service and five AW139s to the Protection Civile organisation responsible for emergencies such as fires.

A second batch of helicopters will reportedly consist of 10-15 AW101s for the Gendarmerie while a third phase will see 27-32 AW101s and 15 AW109s being assembled locally. The first two of five AW139s was delivered to the Protection Civile in February this year, according to Air Forces Monthly.

The Algerian government, which has been fighting radical Muslim groups for more than a
decade, is understood to have requested no public comment be made on the deal. The Anglo-Italian helicopters will become the mainstay of the Algerian armed forces, which have previously relied on Russian and French equipment. Part of the deal is an undertaking by Agusta Westland to help set up an assembly plant and training and support facilities in Algeria. Some of the helicopters will be put together in the new plant, including about 25 of the Merlins. Once the deal is completed, Algeria will have the second-largest fleet of Merlins in the world, behind the UK, which has 70. The other helicopters to be bought by Algeria are understood to be the AW109 and AW139 models, smaller than the Merlin and made in Italy.
