The aircraft incorporates a reinforced airframe, new navigation and communication systems, an enhanced auxiliary power unit (APU), increased fuel capacity and a revised interior layout. The EMB-145 AEW&C's mission system is developed around the Ericsson ERIEYE active, phased-array pulse-Doppler radar and is integrated with an onboard command and control system. Electronic surveillance measures for monitoring communications and non-communications activities are also integrated with the system. [/FONT]

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) ordered five AEW&C and three EMB-145 RS aircraft. The first AEW&C aircraft was delivered to the Brazilian Air Force in July 2002 and deliveries were completed in December 2003. [/FONT]

The first was delivered in December 2003 and deliveries are expected to be completed by the end of 2004. In February 2005, Embraer signed a Memorandum of Understanding with India for the procurement of three systems. [/FONT]

This places much less demand on aircraft size and is designed for mounting on commuter-type aircraft. The ERIEYE is capable of 360° detection and tracking of air and sea targets over the horizon. The instrumented range is 450km and a typical detection range against a fighter aircraft size target is in excess of 350km. [/FONT]

The current force of 12 active and seven reserve squadrons supports the theater and fleet commanders' requirements for 40 P-3Cs continuously forward-deployed.
The Navy's P-3 modernization plan is focusing on providing a more tailored force optimized for regional and littoral conflict. The key elements of the plan are mission system upgrades, sustaining inventory, and reducing multiple configurations.

The P-3s were active in Afghanistan in late 2001, where the aircraft used Ku-band packet mux data links to provide video and other sensor data to surface forces. The imagery was very well received by ground forces there, and demand for this type of information is growing as users become aware of its value​

Elefsis Industrial Enterprises SA has been awarded the contract for the supply of three Super Vita 62m fast attack missile craft for the Hellenic Navy. The ships, called the "Roussen Class", are being constructed at the Elefsis yard near Athens. Vosper Thornycroft provides design, construction support, ship's equipment and logistic support services to Elefsis. The initial requirement is for three fast attack craft and part of the agreement includes provision of two ex-Royal Navy Hunt Class mine countermeasure vessels.
The fast attack craft has a displacement of 580t fully loaded. The first ship, HS Roussen (P67), was launched in November 2002 and is undergoing sea trials prior to delivery in 2004. The second, HS Daniolis (P68), was launched in July 2003 and will be delivered by the end of 2004. The third, HS Kristallidis (P69), was launched in April 2004 and is due for delivery in November 2005.
In September 2003, a contract was awarded for a further two ships to be delivered in 2006 and 2007, to be built by Elefsis.
A newly covered construction facility in the Elefsis yard has been built for the construction of the three craft and for future projects.
ATTACK CRAFT DESIGN

The design of the fast attack craft is based on the smaller Vita class vessels already in service with the Qatar Emiri Navy and similar-sized craft built for Oman and other countries.
The fast attack craft has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Vosper Thornycroft Controls is supplying the electrical power distribution system, the platform management system, electrical machinery and the mine counter-countermeasures system.
FAST ATTACK CRAFT WEAPONS

The ship is armed with the MBDA (formerly EADS Aerospatiale-Matra) Exocet ITL 70A MM40 Block II surface-to-surface missile. Exocet uses active radar homing and has a range of 70km. The two four-cylinder launchers are installed on the missile deck, set in a crossed configuration with one facing starboard and one facing port side.
The vessel’s air defence missile system is the RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile), to be supplied by RAMSYS, a consortium of MBDA (formerly EADS Daimler-Chrysler Aerospace), Diehl and BGT. The missile system’s GMWS Mk 31 21-cell launcher is installed on the stern deck. The RIM-116A Block I missile has a dual-mode radar/imaging infra-red seeker and a range of 10km.
The craft's main gun installed on the bow deck is the Oto Melara Super Rapid 76mm gun which is capable of firing 6kg shells at a rate of 100 rounds per minute to a range of 16km. Two Oto Melara 30mm guns are installed on either side of the upper deck to the stern of the main radar mast.
The ship is equipped with the Argo Systems AR900 electronic support measures system and the Sippican SRBOC decoy launcher.
VESSEL COMBAT MANAGEMENT

The vessel is fitted with the Tacticos combat management system supplied by Thales Nederland (formerly Signaal). Tacticos provides automatic threat evaluation, allocates sensors and assigns weapons for target engagement. The combat room accommodates the MOC Mark 3 consoles which include three vertical consoles and one conference console. The Tacticos system is integrated with the Exocet missiles, 76mm gun, 30mm guns, RAM system, DR 3000 electronic support measures and the chaff launcher.
The craft is equipped with the Thales Nederland Sting fire control system.
SENSORS
The vessel's sensor suite includes the Thales MW08 3D G-band surveillance radar, Thales Nederland Mirador electro-optical target tracker, an integrated Thales Nederland Scout Mark II low probability of intercept radar and Northrop Grumman (formerly Litton) Marine Bridgemaster-E navigation radar.
COMMUNICATIONS
Redifon is supplying the communications system. The Data Link 11, model MDM 2002 is supplied by Rockwell Collins. The radome of the satellite communications system is installed on the upper deck between the main radar tower and the 30mm guns. Intercom Systems A/S of Denmark will supply the ICS 2000 integrated communications system. The information friend or foe system is the Aeromaritime IFF Mk 12
PROPULSION

The main propulsion system is four MTU 16V595 TE90 engines with ZF type BW1556666 / 1557 S gear boxes and three 250kW generators driving four fixed pitch propellers. The fast combat craft achieves a speed of 35 knots. Vosper Thornycroft Marine Products is supplying the 900 Series steering system and the 300 Series stabiliser system.

The first ship ordered 10 February 1989 built by Blohm + Voss, Hamburg and the remainder ordered 10 May 1989 at Hellenic Shipyards, Skaramanga. Programme was delayed by financial problems at Hellenic Shipyards in 1992 and some of the prefabrication of Spetsai was done in Hamburg.

Structure: The design follows the Portuguese 'Vasco da Gama' class. All steel fin stabilisers.

Operational: Aegean Hawk carried from 1995.

Programmes: A contract was signed with the Netherlands on 15 September 1980 for the purchase of one of the 'Kortenaer' class building for the Netherlands' Navy, and an option on a second of class, which was taken up 7 June 1981. A second contract, signed on 9 November 1992, transferred three more of the class. Recommissioning dates for the second batch are Aegeon 14 May 1993, Adrias 30 March 1994 and Navarinon1 March 1995. Kountouriotis, the sixth ship to transfer, recommissioned on 15 December 1997, Bouboulina, the seventh, on 14 December 2001, Kanaris, the eighth was recommissioned in November 2002 and Themistoklis the eighth was recommissioned in 24 October 2003.

Modernisation: The original plan was to fit one Phalanx CIWS in place of the after 76 mm gun but for Gulf deployments in 1990-91 the gun was retained in 450 and 451 and two Phalanx fitted on the deck above the torpedo tubes. Corvus chaff launchers replaced by SRBOC (fitted either side of the bridge). The second batch of four ships were to be similarly modified but the original plan of one Phalanx vice the after 76 mm has been used as a cheaper alternative. An upgrade programme for these ships is planned to be completed by the end of 2006 but details have yet to be finalised. Modernisation is likely to focus on sensors, the combat data system and communications. The Phalanx system may be upgraded to RAM and flight decks may be strengthened to receive Aegean Hawks.

Structure: Hangar is 2 m longer than in Netherlands' ships to accommodate AB 212ASW helicopters.

All the ships of the three classes (II, III, IIIB) have both missile and torpedo capabilities, which give these ships the name 'Torpillopyraulakati'. The Antipliarchos Kostakos (P25) sank on Nov. 4 1996 when it was struck by the Samaina passanger ferry, killing 4. The ships of the Combattante II class were originally given different names. The S-300PMU1 SAM system comprises a 30N6E1 illumination and guidance radar mounted on an all-terrain vehicle, up to 12 5P85ME (5P85SE) launcher vehicles each carrying 4 48N6E missiles, a 54K6E command and control (C2) post and other associated vehicles and equipment for reloading, maintenance and repair. The 64N6E radar system can be integrated into the S-300 SAM system providing improved target acquisition capability.

The 5P85ME launchers act as a Transporter, Erector and Launcher (TEL) vehicle. The cluster with 4 sealed 48N6E missiles must be set vertically in order to launch missiles. A VLS ensures 360-degree coverage of the battle space overcoming the shortfalls related to the ramp-launched SAM systems.

It is a mobile, all-weather, short-range (SHORAD) anti-aircraft system with a combination of missiles and guns.
It can provide anti-aircraft defense capability to tactical and strategic targets against aicraft in low and medium altitudes.
It can automatically track 20 different targets and concurrently engage 6; 4 with missiles and 2 with guns.
Each VELOS system is comprised of :​

One 40km range SUPER GIRAFFE search radar.
Two 20Km range SKYGUARD radars.
Four twin 35mm OERLIKON guns.
Four SPARROW RIM–7M Missile Launchers.





Skyguard 3 fire control unit from Oerlikon Contraves: To keep up with the constantly evolving threat from the air, a modernisation programme for previously fielded Skyguard fire control units has been developed. The modernisation programme is based on comprehensive experience in state-of-the-art Skyshield technologies. When coupled with suitable weapons, the Skyguard 3 fire control unit will be able to go on defending high-value assets for another generation – whether deployed in decentralised and networked configurations.

Skyguard III Fire Control Unit

Together with suitable weapons, the Skyguard III Fire Control Unit (FCU) provides protection of high valued objects in a standalone or networked configuration. Skyguard III controls anti-aircraft guns and missile launchers against manned aircraft such as fighters, bombers and helicopters and against unmanned aerial targets,
in particular fast, small missiles in a steep diving attack.

This is an all-weather, low altitude mobile air defense missile weapon system designed to counter air saturation attacks. It is equipped with digital radio command missile line of sight to target line of sight. It was used extensively by airborne units and possibly by some motorized rifle regiments that have not yet converted to the ZSU-23-4/SA-9 air defense battery. ZU-23s also are used to provide close-in air defense for a SA-4 brigade. The ZU-23 is a highly mobile air dropable system, firing the same ammunition as the ZSU-23-4. The reload time will depend on the proficiency of the crew to manually reload, and it can fire from the traveling position in emergencies. The ZU-23 can also be used in a ground support role. ASRAD Hellas is the most advanced and most formidable short-range air defence system anywhere. It was designed especially with the new tasks of the Greek Armed Forces in mind, and for international missions in particular, where the Hellenic Army's air defence capability will prove to be a valuable asset.

In August 2000 the Hellenic Army decided to procure 54 vehicle-mounted STINGER systems. In the face of stiff international competition the Bremen-based company Rheinmetall Defence Electronics GmbH (RDE), formerly known as STN Atlas Elektronik GmbH, won a contract encompassing co-operation agreements with Hellenic Defence Systems (HDS), its Greek partner, then known as EBO, as well as extensive offset agreements. Since June 2004 the Hellenic Army has taken receipt of the first three systems which have now already entered service out of a total of 54 ASRAD-HELLAS fire units​

ASRAD Hellas is related to the German Army's LeFlaSys light mechanized air defence system, and especially to its OZELOT fire unit, a very light, highly mobile and air transportable system. A modular missile system featuring high firepower for day and night operation, each ASRAD-HELLAS weapon system carries four ready-to-fire STINGER missiles and holds an additional four missiles ready for a fast reload.

انا في رايي انه من ناحيه الدفاع الجوي والبحريه قوي جدا لكن ينقصه بعض الاشياء
