Description: The CMP 1000, 1,000 kg class Charge Militaire de Penetration (Military Charge of Penetration), is a 2,000-lb/1,000-kg class warhead developed by MBDA to exceed the performance of existing 2,000-lb class penetration bombs used by NATO. It has the ability to remain intact while passing through a thick reinforced concrete fortification before detonating on the other side thus maximizing the explosive blast and fragmentation effects. MBDA and Sagem have an agreement on CMP 1000 replacing the Mk-84 warhead on the AASM 1000 guided bomb delivering a formidable high-precision bunker buster weapon.MBDA announced the completion of its CMP 1000 warhead development, which only took six months, in early 2009. It features stepped diameters design giving the bomb body a similar shape to that of a bottle. At the front end the diameter is smaller but the thickness of the metal is increased. Besides the front end is fitted with an array of teeth to avoid gliding at the point of contact even at high angles of incidence to crack the concrete to facilitate the passage of the bomb body. The bomb is qualified for integration onto aircraft already cleared for the Mk-84 2,000-lb bomb and is fully compatible with Sagem AASM guidance kit.QUOTE="كاميكازي الامارات, post: 1349432, member: 2610"]فرنسا عينها على وسيلة تدمير ( لا تؤدي لدمار زائد عن الحاجة ) وخصوصا في المناطق الآهلة .. Collateral Damage )
