لما تقول اثيوبيا ممكن تغزو صوماليلاند، على اي شي تبني هالفكرة؟

اثيوبيا كان عندها جيبوتي الصغيرة واريتريا، والاثنان اصغر من صوماليلاند. ولم تقم بغزوهم.

بالقطع انت لاتعرف، ولكن جزء كبير من الاقليم الصومالي في اثيوبيا تسكنه قبائل لها جذور في صومالياند، اي ان الحرب مع صوماليلاند تعني قلاقل داخلية اثيوبيا في غنى عنها.

كأني اقولك، ايران قد تغزو السعودية يوما ما وأبني على هذه الفكرة موقفا ما. المبدأ بالاساس مغلوط.

Right now, Congress is FORCING State Department to engage with Somaliland. State Department is using this language as diplomatic shielding as US is yet to recognise Somaliland.

Meanwhile, Congress is pushing through multiple legislations in support of Somaliland like:

Republic of Somaliland Independence ACT​

It was referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs 5 days ago

US was also vocal in support of Israel's move to recognise Somaliland at the Security Council:

Israel has the same right to conduct diplomatic relations as any other sovereign state. Earlier this year, several members of this council made the unilateral decision to recognise a non-existent Palestinian state, and yet, no emergency meeting was called to express this council's outrage. This council's persistent double-standards, and missdirection of focus distract from its mission of maintaining international peace and security. On the matter of Somaliland, we have no announcment to make regarding US recognition of Somaliland.

Quick correction, it was referred to the Foreign Affairs committee in June of last year.

The head of the Foreign Affairs committee is Senator Brian Mast, a big supporter of Somaliland.
