Accompanied by the frigate Commandant Bouan, transporting landing craft Siroco returned Sunday at Toulon. Both buildings have spent nearly four months in West Africa as part of the highbush mission.Except improbable turnaround, this deployment was the last of Siroco under the French flag. Operational since 1998, the TCD will, indeed, be prematurely removed from service following the contraction amphibious naval assets decided upon the adoption of the latest white paper. The French fleet is now merely the projection and command Mistral, Thunder and Dixmude, the construction of a fourth PCB to replace the Sirocco was abandoned.

Last TCD of the Navy still with a good potential, it was decided to sell it to a foreign country. Several candidates are in the running: Brazil, Portugal and Chile, the latter having acquired the former Lightning in 2011. Egypt could also be interested. The sale of Siroco, valued at 80 million euros (excluding changes in the needs of the new owner and training of future foreign crew) must be buckled by the end of the year.
Absorbing operations of service with the French Navy to begin next month. The building must be placed in guarding from 1 st September with a crew minimized or sixty sailors.

السفينه لا تزال بإمكانيات جيدة و قد تقرر بيعها إلى بلد أجنبي و هناك العديد من المرشحين في السباق: البرازيل والبرتغال وشيلي، وهذه الأخيره حصلت على سفينه البرق سابقا في عام 2011 و مصر مهتمة أيضا سعر بيع سفينه سيروكو سيكون بقيمة 80000000 € (بعد استبعاد التعديلات طبقا لاحتياجات المالك الجديد وتدريب الطاقم الأجنبي المستقبلي الجديد) و يجب أن يتم هذا بحلول نهاية العام.
