IAIS Objectives
- Build a technology competence center that would facilitate research and development in engineering, drawing on the expertise of ASELSAN’s System Development and Manufacturing. IAIS will be capable of carrying out testing, integration, professional training, maintenance and support services for its clients
- Bring RCWS to the region for a wide range of applications
- Ensure that IAIS is consistently updated with the latest advancements in RCWS technology
- Provide more immediate and contextual after-sales services in the region
- Provide customers with regular product development and enhancement opportunities
نقل التكنولوجيا
A Transfer of Technology (TOT) program will be executed to enable IAIS to acquire the necessary technology and capabilities to execute more skill-intensive activities. The TOT program enables IAIS to perform:

- System assembly using parts/modules supplied by either ASELSAN and/or other relevant suppliers
- System inspection and final testing
- System integration to naval or other platforms
- All acceptance tests in accordance with end-user requirements
- End-user operational and maintenance training
- Logistical support to the end-users in the UAE and wider GCC region

System Testing
IAIS has the ability to conduct all of the following tests for all of the locally produced systems:
- Production Tests Pre-Factory Acceptance Tests (Pre-FAT)
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Harbor Acceptance Tests (HAT)
- Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Diagnostic tests for detecting faulty items for problem solving
IAIS will provide different levels of maintenance and support services to its clients. These varying levels will cater to the different needs of the customer during varying intervals.
- First-level maintenance will account for functional testing and periodical maintenance
- Second-level maintenance will cover general product maintenance including the replacement of any spare parts
- Third-level maintenance will address all major overhauls of the weapon systems, including a substantial rebuild. Any third-level maintenance will be carried out at the IAIS depot and production facilities
Research & Development
All the required research and development in engineering for mechanical, electrical, software development, testing, qualification of systems and documentation will be undertaken collaboratively and shall be carried out by the IAIS team jointly with ASELSAN’s engineering and research team. To this end, periodical technical workshops will be conducted to improve the IAIS team’s knowledge and exchange of information.

Product Focus
The IAIS joint venture is focused on promoting knowledge transfer to the UAE, allowing for self-sustaining systems development, production, and assembly of a variety of ASELSAN products. IAIS will have the ability to deliver the following products:
