القوات البحرية الصينية

تقليديا ، كان ينظر إلى الصين باعتبارها تمتلك قوة برية كبيرة مع قوات بحرية محدودة للغاية. و خلال حقبة الحرب الباردة كان هدف البحرية الصينيه يتمثل فى الدفاع عن سواحل الصين ضد هجمات برمائية من الولايات المتحدة أو الاتحاد السوفياتي. منذ أواخر 1980 ، ظلت الصين تسعى لتطوير قوات بحرية ضخمه و قادرة على العمل في المناطق خارج مياهها البحرية. وقد كان الدافع وراء عملية التحديث على مدى العقد الماضي اثنين من العوامل ، وهما احتمال نشوب صراع عسكري مع تايوان على اعلان الجزيرة استقلالها ، والسبب الأهم الاحتياجات المتزايدة لحماية الخطوط البحرية الصينية والاتصالات (الخط الاستراتيجي للاتصالات) من أجل تأمين احتياجات البلاد من موارد الطاقة العالمية ورعاية الأنشطة التجارية.
تم تنظيم البحرية إلى ثلاثة أساطيل : بحر الشمال وبحر الشرق ، وأساطيل البحر الجنوبي.ويتألف كل أسطول من القوات السطحية ، والقوات البحرية والطيران البحري ، وقوات الدفاع الساحلي. ويمتلك اسطول بحر جنوب أيضا اثنين من كتائب البحرية ، والتي يبلغ مجموعها نحو 10000 رجل. وتشمل القواعد البحرية الرئيسية لوشون ، هولوداو ، وتشينغداو وشانغهاى ، وتشوشان ، ونتشو ، وشيامن وقوانغتشو وتشانجيانغ ، ويولين.
تعمل لدى الصين أكبر قوة غواصات بين الدول الاسيوية ، التي تتألف من 8 الى 10 غواصات تعمل بالطاقة النووية و من 50 الى 60 غواصه تعمل بالديزل والكهرباء. وقد دخلت الخدمه بالفعل الغواصات النوويه من نوع 093/Shang ونوع 094/Jin ويجري احلال كبار السن فئة 033/Romeo ونوع 035/Ming التى تعمل بالديزل والكهرباء سوفيتية الصنع وتعود لعام 1950 ، حلت تدريجيا من قبل نوع أحدث من 039/Song روسية الصنع طراز كيلو . وقد دخلت فئة يوان الاحدث أيضا الخدمه

. تم تجهيز معظم المدمرات الصينية بصواريخ YJ - 83 المضادة للسفن الصواريخ وصواريخ كروز (ASCM). وكانت السفن المسلحة في وقت مبكر تمتلك منظومة HHQ - 7 قصيرة المدى للدفاع الجوي الصاروخي ، في حين يتم تزويدها في وقت لاحق بأنظمة الدفاع الجوى متوسطة المدى (VLS).

طيران البحريه يتألف من 26 ألف عامل ويمتلك من 400 الى 500 طائرة
كما تمتلك قوات خاصه تقدر بعشرة آلاف رجل ​
