حصلت المغرب على الردار الامريكي الجديد المتعدد المهام الدي تنتجه شركة لوكهيد مارتن والدي يبلغ مداه الاقصى 190 كلم ويعد الاحدث من حيث الانتاج .
Lockheed Martin supplies mobile equipment to Romania
Romania’s Ministry of Defense has selected a further 17 Multi-Mission Surveillance Radar (MMSR) from Lockheed Martin to support its civil and military surveillance needs. Lockheed Martin has supplied two of the TPS-79 MMSR prototype units under a contract let in 2002, which supplement five existing AN/FPS-117 long range surveillance radar supplied by the company. Lockheed Martin will build components and subassemblies for the latest order, and UTI Systems of Romania will provide additional components and testing. The medium-range systems are easily transported by air, sea, truck or rail and can be deployed in less than an hour by under four people. They offer an extended range out to 100 n miles in surveillance mode, and between 60-80 n miles in ATC mode. Lockheed Martin has supplied its TPS-79 MMSR to the US Marine Corps and US Navy, and is expanding in markets overseas with orders from Moroccan as well as Romanian military interests. The ICAO-certified system offers a dual-use mobile solution for civil and military applications.
