كشفت وسائل إعلام عبرية تابعة للجيش الإسرائيلي عن إجراء مصر مفاوضات حثيثة لشراء نظام الصواريخ المتطور CAMM GNA الأوروبي.
وأوضحت مجلة "يسرائيل ديفينس" العسكرية التي تصدر عن الجيش الإسرائيلي، أن هذه الأنظمة الصاروخية المتطورة هي من عائلة صواريخ مصممة للدفاع ضد الطائرات والمروحيات والطائرات بدون طيار وصواريخ الكروز، المصنوعة من قبل شركة MBDA، مشيرة إلى أن هذه الصفقة ستقلب موازين القوى في المنطقة.
وأكدت المجلة أنها علمت من خلال مصادرها داخل الشركة المصنعة أن وزارة الدفاع المصرية تتفاوض مع شركة MBDA للأسلحة لشراء نظام CAMM GNA الذي تنتجه الشركة.
ولفتت "يسرائيل ديفينس" إلى أن موقع Army Recognition كشف أن هذا النظام يعمل في الجيش البريطاني، كما اختارت بولندا هذا النظام للدفاع عن نفسها.
وCAMM هي عائلة من صواريخ مصممة للدفاع ضد التهديدات المحمولة جواً مثل الطائرات والمروحيات والطائرات بدون طيار وصواريخ كروز.
ويحتوي النظام على عدة إصدارات ، بما في ذلك نظام CAMM ER بعيد المدى الذي يتم فيه إطلاق الصواريخ من السفن بالإضافة أن لدية نظام تحكم أرضي.
كما أن صواريخ النظام عالية الدقة ومجهزة برادار نشط يتيح تتبع واعتراض التهديدات في بيئة مشبعة ، والصاروخ مزود بقناة بيانات مزدوجة تزوده بالمعلومات والبيانات أثناء الطيران.
