WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. military MQ-9 drone was shot down in Yemen’s Dhamar governate, southeast of the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa, two U.S. officials told Reuters on Wednesday, the second such incident in recent months.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. military MQ-9 drone was shot down in Yemen’s Dhamar governate, southeast of the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa, two U.S. officials told Reuters on Wednesday, the second such incident in recent months.

A Houthi military spokesman had earlier said that air defenses had brought down a U.S. drone.
The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the drone was shot down late on Tuesday.
This is not the first time a U.S. drone has been shot down in Yemen. In June, the U.S. military said that Houthi rebels had shot down a U.S. government-operated drone with assistance from Iran.

الاخ الذي جاوبته قال مؤخرا ومؤخرا اي في غشت 2020 تم اسقاط الدرون المذكور في الواشنطن بوست. اذا كان عندك عسر في الفهم ممكن ان ابسط لك اكثر. مقالك من سنة 2018 يعني قبل دمج MQ-9B في الجيش الامريكي اصلا.

CAIRO — Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed they shot down a U.S.-made drone over the country’s northern border with Saudi Arabia. The U.S. military said later on Monday that no American aircraft had been lost.

A Houthi military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yehia Sarie, said in a statement that their air defenses downed the drone on Sunday over the district of Harad in Yemen’s northern Hajjah province. He said it was an AeroVironment RQ-20 Puma drone.
Footage later aired by the Houthi’s Al-Masirah satellite TV channel showed rebel fighters gathered around the hand-launched drone, which appeared to have bullet holes in it. The battery-powered drone had a camera, also apparently struck by a bullet.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump’s administration moved forward with $1 billion in sales of drones and precision-guided weapons to Morocco on Friday, sending a notice to Congress about the potential deals, according to sources familiar with the notification.

Products in the sales include four MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones made by privately-held General Atomics, and Hellfire, Paveway and JDAM precision-guided munitions made by Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing, the sources said.​
