بحسب مصادر عدة ( والناشر صحيفة لاتريبيون الفرنسية ) , يتواجد وفد قطري رفيع المستوى حاليا في فرنسا لمناقشة شراء 36 رافال , يعتزم الوفد البقاء مدة 3 اسابيع في باريس لمحاولة اتمام عقد الشراء . لو توصلوا لاتفاق , يتوقع ان تجعل زيارة الرئيس الفرنسي لقطر بنهاية العام الامر رسميا وبالتالي , اول عقد تصدير للرافال .
