#Egypt Air Show# This time I met so many different foreign military forces, and the two Egyptians impressed me the most. That day I saw two EAF officers lingering in front of the J-10C, looking around and looking at it again and again. There was no commentator on the scene. Just when they saw the word CHINA on my badge, they called me over. One of them was very old and of a very high rank. After listening to my introduction, he was very satisfied with the aircraft and told me that when he was still a young man decades ago, he was an Egyptian pilot flying the J-6. He also encountered a serious flight accident. At that time, his J-6 stopped in the air with a single engine. The thrust difference on both sides caused the aircraft to enter a tailspin. No matter how hard he tried, he could not get out of it, and he had to eject and parachute.I was a little embarrassed when he heard him say that, and hurriedly explained that China's aviation equipment is now far more advanced than it was back then [sweat] and then asked me, "Is this aircraft still equipped with Russian engines?" I admitted that it was, but added that "the number of domestic engines installed is already a lot, and the reliability is guaranteed."Like the civilian market, many old Egyptian military personnel still have some negative impressions about the quality of Chinese products, and still have shadows and concerns. But at the same time, they still have high hopes for new options other than the United States and Russia. The veteran who flew the J-6 now has the opportunity to contact China's new fighter jets, and the visible progress still makes him feel very emotional.Accompanying him on the tour is a middle-aged pilot who has a basic grasp of the development of various advanced equipment at present. He can quickly understand any characteristics and further interpret them to his leader. He said that he used to fly F-16. Although the number of F-16s given to Egypt by the United States is large, the configuration of both new and old batches is very poor. In order to ensure that the Egyptian Air Force does not pose a threat to Israel, the United States has not approved the provision of AIM-120 to Egypt, and even AIM-7 is rare. Most of the Egyptian F-16s can only rely on AIM-9 to fight face to face in actual combat, and their ground weapons are also very limited. GBU-12 is a treasure, and Mk82 iron bombs are the main force. In this case, Egypt's choice to purchase a large number of MiG-29M/M2 is very reasonable. These aircraft that can fight R-77 and various precision-guided weapons are more useful than F-16 in the eyes of the Egyptian Air Force.I asked him, since you are an F-16 pilot, why don't you wear a flight suit like others? This guy smiled with a twisted expression: "A few years ago, I was selected as one of the first pilots to be converted to Su-35. When I came back from training in Russia, you know what happened next... and during this period, my F-16 qualifications were not retained, so now I am a Su-35 pilot without a plane." As soon as this came out, I immediately felt deep sympathy for him [sad face] He is definitely the most pitiful Egyptian pilot I have ever met. After scolding the Americans together, I told him that if there is really fate, then you will at least get the combination of AESA+SD10, which is enough for you to defend Egypt. Speaking of AESA, the old leader came over and said, "It looks like your radar is bigger than Rafale's." I immediately seized the opportunity and said, "Your insight is very sharp. The larger antenna diameter can accommodate more transceiver components and has better detection capabilities." The lone Su-35 pilot also found his familiar IRST in front of the windshield. I told him, "Although this looks similar, it is different from the Russian version. Our IRST is more sensitive and can see farther...".Watching the two Egyptians whispering to each other, it is obvious that the pilots' eyes are bright. They look at the J-10C with the eyes of a man looking at a sports car, and look at the leader with the eyes of a child begging his father to buy him a favorite toy. It can be said that his love is absolutely beyond words. Finally, the two took me to take a photo and shake hands in front of the J-10C, then walked straight to the end of the apron, and boarded the Egyptian Air Force A340 special plane that had been waiting for a long time with other important personnel, and roared away from the air show and flew back to Cairo.
