Q: How do you see the Italian Navy’s role in NATO today, including in command of NATO operations?
Italy participates in international organizations such as the UN, NATO, and the EU, which continue to play a key role in keeping peace and stability around the world. Among these, since 1949, NATO has been a military reference for most, thanks to its effectiveness, credibility and expertise on the full spectrum of military operations. NATO commitments have a high priority for Italy, and the Italian Navy is actively contributing to NATO’s structures and activities.
Italy has participated in all recent operations conducted and led by NATO, from Operation Active Endeavour (2001), to the counter piracy operations, Allied Provider (2008), Allied Protector (2009), and the current Ocean Shield (from 2009), through to the Operation Unified Protector (the Libyan crisis of 2011). We permanently provide naval assets to the NATO Standing Maritime Groups, of which we often take Command.
The Italian Navy provides one of the high readiness Force Headquarters at Maritime Component Commander level. The Italian Command, named COMITMARFOR, is on the rotation list among the other Command structures offered to NATO and, in 2014, will take charge as Command of the NRF Maritime Component.

مفيش اساس تتناقش معاه عليه انت بتقول مصر وطنك وده عنده مصر ولايه ممكن يحكمها تيس تركي عادي جدا ولو استحقره عشان هو مصري عربي هينبسط جدا .. ده غير طبعا انهم عاملين نفسهم انصح خلق الله وهم كروديات اساسا 
انت شايف ان مصر مش محتاجة دفاع جوي فالمتوسط ودا رأيك وانت حر...
لكن اي حد تاني شايف اننا محتاجين عالاقل فرقاطتين دفاع جوي عشان حقول الغاز واسطول الميسترال وتأمين باب المندب..
انت مش مقتنع بالاستر ٣٠؟ ياسيدي دا رأيك برضو....لكن الاستر ٣٠ حلم لدول كتيرة...
انا هصدق انك بتحب بلدك، لكن لو مرسي كان موجود دلوقتي وعمل الصفقات دي كلها كان زمانكظ بتقولو رضي الله عنه وأرضاه!

انتا بتحور كلامي.
انا قولت مش مقتنع الاستر-30 ؟ بالعكس . انا من الناس اللي انتقدت قدوم الفريم الفرنسية بدون استر 30 لكن يتقال عليها فرقاطه دفاع جوي بسبب وجوده ؟ لا طبعاً ...و برضو حسب نسخة الاستر-30 فيه منه نسخة تفوق الالف كيلومتر و قتها يتقال عليه دفاع جوي و نص. لحماية دولة مش منطقة غاز بس.
و برضو انتا بتستبق كل حاجه , لو مرسي الله يرحمه كان موجود و عمل الصفقات ده كنت هنتقده برضو ... الصفقة الوحيده اللي عملها هي الانكا , 10 طائرات بتصنيع الكومبيوتر في مصر و طبعاً الصفقة متمتش.

Egyptian Navy takes delivery of its new FREMM frigate FFG 1002 Al-Ghalala
POSTED ON SATURDAY, 26 DECEMBER 2020 17:53According to information published on December 23, 2020, the first of the two FREMM frigates purchased by Egypt was handed over by the Egyptian Navy at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. The ship received its new Egyptian name FFG 1002 Al-Ghalala that was built for the Italian Navy as F 598 Spartaco Schergat.
In October 2020, Navy Recognition has published news that Italy approves the sale of two FREMM frigates to the Egyptian navy. According to a previous report, these frigates may be drawn from the Italian Navy’s procurement program – the vessels Spartaco Schergat and Emilio Bianchi, launched in January 2019 and January 2020, respectively – enabling Fincantieri to sell the vessels for an estimated cost of €1.2 billion.
The FREMM Program is an European naval defence project assigned to OCCAR (Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d'Armement / Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) that was launched in 2005. The FREMM program consists of the construction of 18 ships including 8 for France, 10 for Italy. The FREMM is built in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASM/ASW), Anti-Air Warfare (FREDA) and General Purpose (GP) versions.
The Spartaco Schergat F 598 is a Carlo Bergamini-class frigate that was built for the Italian Navy in the framework of the FREMM program. The frigates for the Italian Navy are built at the Fincantieri’s integrated naval shipyard of Riva Trigoso-Muggiano. The ships have a full load displacement of about 6,500 tons, an overall length of about 144 meters and can reach a top speed of 27 knots (50 km/h; 31 mph) with a maximum cruising range of 6,800 nmi (12,600 km; 7,800 mi) at 15 knots (28 km/h; 17 mph).
The FFG 1002 Al-Ghalala is powered by combined diesel-electric and gas (CODLAG) propulsion system including one 32 MW gas turbine General Electric/Avio LM2500+G4, two 2.5 MW electric motors Jeumont Electric and four diesel generators.
The is armed with 16-cell MBDA SYLVER A50 VLS for 16 MBDA Aster 15 and 30 missiles, one Leonardo Otobreda 127/64 Vulcano naval gun, one Leonardo OTO Melara 76/62 mm Davide/Strales CIWS gun, two Leonardo Oto Melara/Oerlikon KBA 25/80 mm remote weapon systems, eight MBDA Teseo\Otomat Mk-2/A anti-ship and land attack missiles, two triple Leonardo (WASS) B-515/3 launcher for MU 90 torpedoes and two SITEP MASS CS-424 acoustic guns.

يعني انتقد الصفقه في البداية لو جت بدون استر ٣٠ و لما جت بأستر ٣٠ بقي في نوعين استر ٣٠
