UKROBORONPROM EXPORTERS CONCLUDE $ 154 MILLION CONTRACTS SINCE EARLY YEAR

SC "Ukroboronprom" summed up the activities of special exporting companies of the Concern in the first half of 2020. In particular, we are talking about the main performance indicators of 5 state-owned companies: "Spetstechnoexport", "Ukrspetsexport", "Ukrinmash", "Progress" and "Ukroboronservice".
The total volume of arms and military equipment exports to foreign countries of the Group's special exporting enterprises in the first half of the year amounted to almost $ 145 million.
Despite the global pandemic, the active work of special exporters allowed to conclude about 140 export contracts with 36 countries for a total of $ 142 million. During this period, export-import contracts worth $ 154 million were concluded. country - foreign exchange earnings.
The top 10 countries of the main importers of Ukrainian products, the share of exports of which was 85%, were: China, Turkey, Pakistan, India, Jordan, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia.
Among the significant export deliveries (over $ 5 million) in the first half of 2020 should be noted the supply to China of equipment and components for naval equipment, as well as the provision of R&D services on aircraft engines, the supply of radar and related goods to Turkey, supplies to Jordan for missile armament, as well as the provision of aircraft engine repair services for Vietnam.
The regional structure of international transfers of military goods is dominated by the Asia-Pacific region - 56% of all deliveries. The share of European countries in the regional structure of arms and military equipment exports increased to 19%, in 2019 it was 13%, and in 2013 - only 3%.
The third geographic market for domestic military products is the Middle East and North Africa - 18%.
In the structure of arms and military equipment exports, the first place is traditionally occupied by the supply of aircraft, services for repair and modernization and spare parts - 30%, the segment of naval equipment was 25%, armored vehicles and air defense equipment - 16% and 14% in accordance.
The largest contracts concluded in the first half of 2020 were for the supply of air defense systems to Europe and America, high-precision weapons to one of the Middle East countries.
The introduction of quarantine measures by Ukraine's main partners in the field of military-technical cooperation led to the cancellation of all exhibitions, official visits, most meetings and negotiations, tests and acceptance works, which in turn complicated the implementation of contracts and reduced exports / imports of products and services. by a third compared to the same period last year.
It should be noted that the decline in key performance indicators affected not only Ukrainian exporters, but also became a global trend in the arms market.
