MOSCOW, July 7. / TASS /. Advisor to the Director General of Roscosmos on information policy Ivan Safronov was detained on Tuesday on suspicion of treason. According to the press service of the state corporation, the detention was not related to his current work.

Safronov was born in Moscow in 1990. In 2010 he graduated from the Higher School of Economics with a degree in journalism. In 2010-2019, he was a Kommersant correspondent and special correspondent, and in 2019-2020, he was a special correspondent for the Vedomosti newspaper. He was engaged in covering the activities of military and military-technical cooperation, the problems of the military-industrial complex and the space industry.
