فطلبية الإمارات لطائرتين الإنذار المبكر والقيادة من نوع Saab’s GlobalEye حالياً في مقر شركة ساب بLinköping يتم العمل عليها وتم توقيع الصفقة في نهاية 2015 على هامش معرض دبي للطيران.

أما هاتين الطائرتين يبدواً أنهما مشروع مختلف تماماً يدار بعيداً عن الأضواء منذ 2012

يعني ماخفي كان أعظم

Falcon Eye [Astrium]


United Arab Emirates Armed Forces on July 22 contracted with Astrium Satellites and Thales Alenia Space of France to provide the two-satellite Falcon Eye high-resolution optical reconnaissance system.

The satellites are based on the upgraded versions of the French Pléiades-HR earth observation satellites. It will feature the HiRI (High-Resolution Imager) imaging system with a ground resolution of 70 cm across a 20 km swath.

The satellites, weighing less than 1,500 kg each are to be launched on two separate Vega rockets in 2019 by Arianespace.

Since its inception in the early 1980s, Raytheon’s Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar System (ASARS) has served as the intelligence backbone of one of the world’s most heralded high-altitude reconnaissance platforms, the U-2 Dragon Lady.
ASARS-2A is a high-resolution, multimode, combat-proven, long-range, air-to-ground radar that provides operators with critical Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) data needed for mission success. Capable of operating in all weather, day or night, ASARS-2A detects and accurately locates fixed and moving ground targets with unprecedented precision. ASARS-2A is normally employed in a tethered mode of operation, which allows transmission of data in near real-time via data link for exploitation of the collected imagery. Operators can then share that information with commanders on the ground or assets in the air, making ASARS-2A a true force multiplier.
While the capability has been around for decades, it continues to evolve to meet the challenging battlespace of tomorrow. Raytheon is currently developing ASARS-2B, the newest iteration of this mission-proven radar system. ASARS-2B will leverage cutting-edge Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar technology, increase detection ranges, improve image quality, and support land and sea missions.
