At the battery or fire unit level, the PATRIOT system would consist of the following
- Engagement Control Station
- Eight Launching Stations (baseline: four PAC-3 launchers and four PAC-2
launchers)
- PAC-3 Missile Canister (four-pack
- Sixty-four PAC-3 Missiles (sixteen missiles per launcher
- PAC-2 Missile Canister
- Sixteen PAC-2 Missiles (four missiles per launcher

- تتألف بطاريات الباتريوت من عدد غير محدد من القواذف متوقف على عدد وحدات التحكم والرادارت الملحقة (بمعنى يمكن لدولة ما ان تشتري 8 قاذف بوحدة تحكم ورادار واحد على انها بطارية واحدة ... ثم تشتري في وقت لاحق 3 وحدات تحكم و3 رادار اضافي ليصبح لديها عدد 4 بطارية كل بطارية تحتوي على 2 قاذف ووحدة تحكم ورادار واحد).
- قاذف PAC-2 يحتوي على 4 صواريخ ... قاذف PAC-3 المحمل بصواريخ PAC-3 يحتوي على 16 صاروخ ... قاذف PAC-3 المحمل بصواريخ PAC-2 يحتوي على 4 صاروخ ... حيث يمكن تحميل قاذف PAC-3 بصواريخ PAC-2 كما سنرى بالتفصيل .

ثانيا: انواع الباتريوت PAC-3
يوجد لدينا ثلاثة انواع من ال PAC-3 :
- PAC-3 Configuration 1 محمل بصواريخ النسخة GEM (القاذف 4 صواريخ)
- PAC-3 Configuration 2 محمل بصواريخ النسخة PAC-2 و صواريخ GEM (القاذف 4 صواريخ)
- PAC-3 Configuration 3 محمل بصواريخ النسخة PAC-3 (القاذف 16 صواريخ)

Saudi Arabia's long-expected upgrade to its existing Raytheon Patriot PAC-2 air-defence systems to enable them to fire Lockheed Martin's more advanced PAC-3 missiles has been approved by the US government, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on 1 October.
