S. Korea to Export K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer to Poland

A South Korean company is poised to export domestically-developed self-propelled howitzers to Poland. An official of the South Korean military said Thursday that Samsung Techwin is scheduled to sign a contract with Poland this month to export the 120 K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers to the East European country. The official said, however, the K9 Thunder howitzers will not be exported assembled.

Samsung Techwin, now the owndership has changed from Samsung to Hanhwa, to finalize the deal to sell K9 Thunder chassis to Poland sometime in this month.
