ECS Global Services team will support Royal Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Morocco and Norwegian Armed Forces in pursuit of their National Defense and Security objectives.
July 9, 2020 – Orlando, FL – Mick Golson, ECS COO, announced that Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) has recently been awarded a Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) Train, Advise, and Assist (TAA) contract to provide global services and training to Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and, as required, to the Norwegian Armed Forces (NAF), in support of their National Defense and Security objectives. Led by ECS Vice President of Global Services, Richard Madrid, this project runs through February 2021 with two option years. ECS will be partnering with Pilgrims Group USA, LLC (PGUSA) on this project.
JCATS is a staff training software program that trains commanders and their staff in an operationally relevant environment through the replication of combat formations and direct stimulation of its command posts and other command and control nodes at the brigade level and below. This program can be used as a stand-alone trainer or as part of a larger Live/Virtual/Constructive-Integrating Architecture (LVC-IA) training event. As a result of its capabilities, JCATS has operated in a combined LVC environment for large military training events for all branches of military services. As a leading JCATS provider, ECS will deliver contractor support personnel through its Global Services division for the consolidated work required for the FAR and NAF.
Morocco and Norway requested procurement, delivery and support of the JCATS for their Armed Forces. This award represents the seventh new project for ECS as part of the Enterprise Training Services (ETSC) multiple award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity task order, which was awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Orlando on behalf of Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) in 2018. The five-year, $2.4 billion ETSC contract provides for education, training and knowledge-based services in support of the U.S. Army and its Security Cooperation mission.
Golson says: “ECS has been supporting U.S. soldiers for over 23 years by integrating innovative technology with unique global training solutions. We’re honored to have been selected as global partners to support the military service members in Morocco and Norway and we’re very excited about delivering our next project in support of the PEO STRI and the ETSC contract.”
Madrid adds: “It is very rewarding to share our global training and services in support of the U.S. Army and its Security Cooperation mission. This type of customized training allows Warfighters to strengthen their operational skills so that they can successfully perform their missions throughout the world.”
