The receiver for Piaggio Aerospace is set to launch a public tender for the sale of the company, pending official clearance from the Italian government
Speaking during the NBAA-BACE business aviation event in Las Vegas on 22-24 October, Vincenzo Nicastro said that order intake was unprecedented for Piaggio, adding that more contracts will be signed "in the upcoming weeks" and "we shall be closer to bringing back the company to full operation"
The most recent order, from Al Saif Aviation in Saudi Arabia, is for ten P.180 Avanti EVO twin-turboprop aircraft. Al Saif will also act as promotion and marketing agent for the P.180 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa
