Sukhoi Su-35 Sukhoi SU-27 is the design for two separate, heavy-upgraded derivatives of Air Defense Combat Aircraft . These are single-seat, two engines, high-quality combat aircraft , which are designed by Sukhoi Design Bureau and have been created by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association .
The first version was prepared in the 1980s as the second edition of Sukhoi SU-27 . And it was initially known as Sukhoi SU-27M . Multi-function radar was added to this version, which changed it from ordinary aircraft to multirol aircraft . And it was structurally reinforced to handle its weight. Its first prototype made its first flight in June 1988. Due to the collapse of the Soviet Union , the aircraft was not produced on a large scale. Sukhoi re-named the aircraft Sukhoi SU-35 to attract export orders. At the same time, fourteen planes were produced for tests and demonstrations. Thrust vectoring engines were installed in a prototype and as a result Sukhoi SU-37 was used as a technology demonstrator. At the end of 1990, the only Sukhoi SU-35 UB two-seat trainer aircraft was built which was built on Sukhoi SU-30MK family .
In 2003, Sukhoi initiated the second modernization of Sukhoi SU-27 to serve as an interim aircraft due to the development time of Sukhoi SU-57 . It is mainly known as Sukhoi SU-35 . So Sukhoi SU-35 made its first flight in February 2008. Although the aircraft was designed for export, the launch of the Russian Air Force aircraft in 2009 became the customer, whose production version was named as Sukhoi SU-35S . People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) is the only foreign user of Air Force aircraft . In other countries, there has been a discussion about the purchase of Sukhoi SU-35 with Russia, which includes Indonesia , which government is expected to sign a contract with Russia in the near future.
