This year, the DECOCONTAIN 3000 GDS has played a special role in the life of Rainer Mühleisen. In the last months, the KÄRCHER Futuretech Product Manager has noticed an increased demand for this high-performance decontamination system.
The contract from Oman was bagged a couple of weeks ago. In June, the Sultanate’s Ministry of Defence ordered two systems which will be transported on MAN carrier vehicles (6x6). The DECOCONTAIN 3000 GDS is used for the simultaneous decontamination of vehicles, persons, equipment and road sections, and stands out due to its compact design and immediate readiness for operation. It forms the mobile material basis for the establishment of a complete decontamination site.
The integrated 3,000 litre stainless-steel tank enables the transport or storage of drinking water. In addition, Oman’s Armed Forces will dispose of a defence stock of decontamination agents. Here, they rely on a new family of highly effective NBC decontamination agents: the nuclear RDS 2000 decontamination agent, the BDS 2000 biological decontamination agent system, and the non-aqueous GDS 2000 decontamination agent are their first choice. The material procurement process is already at full speed.
KÄRCHER Futuretech Project Engineer Ulli Reinhardt is responsible for integrating customer-specific requirements.
Representatives of Oman’s Armed Forces will travel to Germany in October in order to attend an instruction course before the systems are delivered to Mascat on the Arabian Peninsula one month later.
At the same time, at the beginning of March, the Hungarian Armed Forces ordered two DECOCONTAIN 3000 GDS systems. Here, too, an appropriate set of chemicals is included in the package. Product Manager Rainer Mühleisen emphasizes the excellent cooperation with the Hungarian Ministry of Defence over many years and looks back with pleasure to the procurement of over 200 DS 10 decontamination sprayers in 2008.
