Kay and Associates has won a $63 million contract to provide contractor maintenance and support services in support of F/A-18 Hornet C/D aircraft for Kuwait.

Work will be performed in Kuwait, and is expected to be complete by January 2018, the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday.

Funds in the amount of $20 million will be obligated at time of award.

F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine supersonic, all-weather carrier-capable multirole combat jet, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft. Hence it got F/A designation.

The U.S. Navy has awarded Kay and Associates a $63 million contract to perform maintenance and support work on Kuwait’s fleet of F/A-18 C/D Hornet aircraft.

Kay and Associates will conduct work in Kuwait through January 2018 under the foreign military sales program, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

The Naval Air Warfare Center’s aircraft division is the contracting activity and the Navy obligated $20 million inFMS funds at the time of award.

Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based Kay and Associates provides aviation, wheeled and track vehicles, metrology, training, information and logistics management and commercial staffing services.
