حسب اذاعة Hong Kong’s Phoenix radio ونقلا عن مصدر من مجلة الدفاع الكندية فإن الفيتنام دخلت مفاوضات مع روسيا من أجل اقتناء نظام الدفاع الجوي أس 400
وحسب المصدر فإن روسيا وفيتنام في مفاوضات متقدمة اذا لم تتعطل ستحصل فيتنام قبل نهاية 2016 على 4 بطاريات S-400 لتنظاف الى بطاريتين s300 وبهذا ستكون فيتنام ثالث بلد يحصل على الأس 400
وحسب وسائل الاعلام فان فيتنام تجهزت بداية 2016 بنظام دفاع جوي SPYDER من اسرائيل
وتجب الاشارة الى أن الصين تعاقدت على 8 بطاريات أس 400 في حين تعاقدت الهند على 5 بطاريات وسوف تنظم فيتنام الى هذه البلدان في حالة نجاح الصفقة لتكون بذلك ثالث دولة خارج روسيا تحصل على هذا النظام
